Our Work - Event Management
Delivery of important policing summit – 2-day conference, dinner and exhibition
In November 2023 we once again provided event management support for the annual APCC and NPCC Partnership Summit. This event brought together over 350 of the most senior members of the UK Policing Community for a 2-day conference, dinner and exhibition, expertly hosted this year by Julie Etchingham. We were an integral part of the overall Summit planning team, responsible for sourcing and managing the venue and accommodation, all event logistics, set up and management of the event website and registration system, ticket sales, all communications with delegates, development of the event App and finance management.
We also developed and sold all sponsorship and exhibition packages, and managed relationships with all, including headline sponsors Deloitte, as well as others including Esri, Motorola, KMPG, Salesforce, Airbus, BT, Roke and many more.
We received some wonderful feedback from our clients at the APCC and NPCC:
“The Event Works Europe Ltd team were pivotal in the successful planning and delivery of the 2023 APCC/NPCC Annual Partnership Summit. The event management experience and knowledge amongst Jayne and all her team was crucial, providing NPCC and APCC with the confidence and assurance around the planning for the event, including aspects such as venue management, registration, the identification and onboarding of sponsors and exhibitors, catering, accommodation and AV. Their professionalism, diligence and overall support to this event has been first class and I would highly recommend them to others.”
Gemma Stannard, Head of NPCC Strategic Hub
“Jayne and the team at Event Works Europe Ltd supported us on the successful delivery of our APCC NPCC Partnership Summit. They are an integral part of the planning committee, taking care of all ticket sales, event website and app, venue logistics and AV, badging, accommodation and sponsorship and exhibition sales, and budget management.
Their support on this extremely high-profile event has been invaluable – they are responsive and flexible, dealing with any changes and last-minute demands with competence and professionalism.”
Jamie Hurst, Senior Advisor, Association of Police and Crime Commissioners
Millgate Tech Expo
Last week (22 November 2023) we supported Millgate with their annual ‘Tech Expo’, an event where they bring together customers and vendors for a day of learning and networking.
As their event agency we:
- sourced and managed the venue for the event – Hilton at St George’s Park, Midlands Conference Venue
- booked the entertainment – thanks to Funky Casinos and the wonderful covers band The Money!
- sourced the AV via SLV Production
- sourced the evening table decorations via Table Art
We were also onsite for set-up and throughout the event to ensure everything ran smoothly and that all delegates and vendors had a positive experience.
Trees and trains – delivery of a green one-day Conference for the Forestry Commission
We recently ran a Conference for the Forestry Commission, working in conjunction with Network Rail, Defra and Aecom.
We were particularly proud to have been the chosen provider for this event following a tender process which placed a strong emphasis on sustainability – our submission had to demonstrate our knowledge of sustainable events and how we would apply that to the delivery of this event.
The event was attended by almost 100 delegates from across the country, with senior speakers including Government Ministers.
The Event Works team were the Project Managers for the whole event, developing a detailed project plan and chairing weekly planning meetings to keep the planning team (made up of representatives from Network Rail, Defra, Aecom and the Forestry commission) on track. We set up and managed the registration page, drafted delegate communications and managed all event logistics. We managed the badging, and developed a bespoke App which incorporated Slido. At the event itself we managed the use of Slido and Jamboard which enabled interaction, q & a and also workshop discussion sessions. We also gave advice and guidance on the programme structure.
We ensured the event was delivered as sustainably as possible by:
- Selecting a venue which had a detailed sustainability policy and was walking distance from a main station enabling delegates and speakers to travel via public transport.
- Ensuring there was no single-use plastic
- No printing, all event information was made available via an App
- Minimising food waste
- Using on-demand badge-printing on recyclable paper, no badges were printed for anyone who didn’t attend; lanyards were collecting in at the end for future re-use
Overall, the event was deemed a great success and we were delighted with the feedback:
Sharon and the Event Works team really felt like an extended version of our own team – with regular and responsive communication, active project management and a friendly can-do approach.
All venue logistics were organised seamlessly, and Sharon kept us on track with completing other milestones. The event was extremely successful, which says it all!

Gala Awards Dinner
We recently supported a new client, Palletforce Ltd with delivery of their Annual Gala Awards Dinner at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London.
We sourced and managed the venue and accommodation for 450 guests who attended the event from across the UK.
Based on the client’s chosen theme of ‘Tommorwland/Steampunk’ we booked all the entertainment, provided by Area 51 Design Ltd, and the band Mad Hen, the room décor from Table Art and the wonderful Stephen Mulhern as the host, it was an epic fun-packed night and a great time was had by all!

With our global technology client, we have delivered a customer roadshow across EMEA, consisting of 1-day customer events in cities including Dublin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris Madrid, Rome, Cologne, Munich, Tel Aviv and London.
Working as an integral part of the European marketing team, we sourced all venues and managed logistics, handled AV and event production in each city as well as on-site event management and delegate registration.
For these events we used the new on-demand badging system we have developed, which enables us to provide the client with a real-time report of who attended.
Some of the stunning venues we sourced included the Villa Copenhagen, Andaz Munich, the Atrium in Paris and Schokoladenfabrik in Cologne.
During March 2023 we delivered a 2-day conference with a dinner for a policing sector client, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester,
As overall Event Managers on this event we:
- sourced the venue and managed the contract and payments
- managed the AV provision
- set up the event website through which we managed all registrations and accommodation bookings.
- project managed the entire event, setting up a project plan and action log and leading planning meetings.
- arranging all event branding and sourced delegate giveaway
- sourced an excellent event host/facilitator
- developed a bespoke Event App which provided access to the agenda and Slido on the day
- managed the event budget
We worked with the client as a true extension to their team to deliver what was a slick and seamless event across the 2 days.
We were delighted to receive some lovely feedback from the client about the service they received from us:
‘Sharon, Vicky and the EventWorks team were fantastic prior to, and during the delivery of the Science and Technology Innovation Conference, it wouldn’t have been the success it was without them! Their professionalism, expertise and willingness to assist in all aspects of event management was critical for the success of the conference. Their knowledge of event management was extensive, and they were able to source us not only an excellent venue and facilitator, but also field many difficult last-minute requests from our team leading up to the day. If you want to host a high-profile and professional event, EventWorks are the company you are looking for!’
APCC NPCC 2022, delivery of national policing summit – hybrid conference, exhibition and gala dinner
On 9-10 November 2022 we delivered this annual 2-day event at the QEII Centre in London. We were responsible for all venue liaising, logistics, finance, delegate registration and communications, sponsorship and exhibition sales, development of an event app and management of the virtual event platform. This is a high profile event with senior representatives from the policing sector and senior government ministers on the programme – all expertly facilitated by Clive Myrie.
We had over 500 people registered with 90 delegates booked to attend virtually. We delivered a vibrant exhibition made up of over 30 sponsors, exhibitors and charities, including Airbus, Salesforce, Capita, Motorola, AWS and Deloitte who were headline sponsors.
We worked closely with our clients in the months leading up to the event, which overall was very well attended and ran very smoothly across the 2 days.
What our clients said:
“Jayne, Sharon and the EventWorks team were critical in ensuring the delivery of a high-profile, professional event which has received high praise from delegates. They worked closely with us in NPCC and APCC throughout and in the months leading up to the event, where their knowledge and expertise in event management, sponsorship and exhibitor sales and engagement, venue liaison, budget planning and delegate registration and communication was pivotal in enabling the delivery of a successful event. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”

Virtual Sales Kick-Off for US Telecommunications client
We had a great couple of days last week (25-26 Jan 2022) delivering a 2-day virtual sales kick-off and awards ceremony for Spectralink Corporation, North America.
Around 70 team members joined virtually from across the States. Our brief was to help make the event fun and interactive and incorporate some teambuilding activities. We delivered the event over Zoom and created teams from the beginning who were sent off to work on various tasks throughout the two days, including games and quizzes, as well as a virtual escape room delivered by Alternate Experiences. It was a fun couple of days and it’s always great to receive positive feedback from a client:
“Thank you so much for the quick turnaround on producing our Virtual SKO! The early feedback is very positive, and we could not have pulled it off without your team. We appreciate all of your efforts, especially working within our timezones! Thank you again to Sharon, Rob, Neil and the entire team!”
Steph Lavallee Marketing Engagement Manager
Hybrid Sales kick-off January 2022
We have had a great start to the 2022, having delivered a 2-day hybrid sales kick-off and awards evening for Spectralink EMEA .
40 team members attended, participating in ‘clusters’ from 4 different locations around Europe. Our brief was to help make the event fun and interactive, as well as slick and professional. Bringing in a professional host and magician, a wine tasting expert and lots of interaction throughout the 2 days using a mentimeter, for polls and quizzes, we managed to achieve exactly what the client had asked for and they were delighted with the results. We have thoroughly enjoyed pulling this event together and helping another client to achieve their objectives.
Hybrid events – delivering a high-profile policing event
We are proud to be the event management agency behind the most high-profile policing conference in the calendar which took place on 18-19 November in London – the joint annual Summit of the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) and the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC). Around 400 chief constables, senior police officers, police and crime commissioners (PCCs), criminal justice experts and home affairs journalists attended this hybrid event – most delegates at the event at the QE II Centre in Westminster attended in person with the remainder participating via an online platform.
Virtual Annual Conference, AGM and Awards for the Magistrates Association
We recently (October 2021) delivered the Magistrates Association virtual AGM, Conference and Awards. Our team managed all of the planning and preparation, putting together a production schedule and ensuring all speakers were fully briefed in advance. We hosted the event and ensured there was plenty of opportunity for audience interaction including a fun quiz at the end of the day.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing Stand Down event, July 2021
We recently supported a client with the delivery of a 2-day event for over 250 attendees from the construction industry. The purpose of the event was to bring the workers together to share a range of information and key messages about health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace – these events are critical for workers who spend their days and in many cases also nights (shift workers) in high risk environments.
Mathematical Association Annual Conference
The Mathematical Association holds an annual conference for members and non-members, usually this is a face-to-face multi-day event, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, that was not an option for 2021. However, with 2021 being the 150th anniversary for the Association, it was important that some form of event was held.
Event Works Europe was engaged in the early stages, to assist in planning out how this could work as a virtual event, given this was not something that had been done before by the Association.
Bayer virtual conference to kick start 2021
At the end of January 2021 we delivered a 3-day virtual staff event for a team of 60 colleagues from the Climate division of Bayer – representing 11 countries across EMEA.
Working closely with the marketing lead, Event Works role was to help plan and deliver an event which was interactive and engaging, with plenty of opportunity for teambuilding.
APCC NPCC Partnership Summit
For the past six years we have delivered the Annual APCC and NPCC Partnership Summit in London.
The event brings together around 350 senior policing representatives, including Chief Constables and Police and Crime Commissioners, for a 2-day conference with a gala dinner. This is a high-profile event with keynote speakers included Senior Government Ministers. A key element of the event is the vibrant exhibition with 5 sponsors and 28 exhibitors.

Connected Data London
This is an annual event which brings together like-minded ‘techie’s’ from around the world to learn and share ideas on graph database technology.
