Following an open tender process, Event Works Europe (EWE) is delighted and proud to have once more been selected as the preferred supplier of event management services, to deliver the most high profile conference in the Police calendar – The Association of Police and Crime Commissioners and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (APCC/NPCC) Partnership Summit.
The Summit will take place in November at the QEII Conference Centre in London, and at EWE we can’t wait to start the planning process for this significant event consisting of 2 days of conference sessions, drinks reception and gala dinner, with a vibrant exhibition running alongside. The team is super-excited that the event remit includes overall project management; hybrid platform; event app & website; all logistics; delegate registration; ticket sales; sponsorship and exhibition sales. So – a lot to get stuck into!
This major conference will once more be a hybrid format, combining the best of virtual and live elements for event delivery. The hybrid structure has become an increasingly popular choice with our clients recently, following the necessity of diversifying into virtual and hybrid conferences during the pandemic restrictions of the last couple of years. Hybrid can be a great format for some clients, as it allows more delegates to attend the event – in a way that is convenient for them e.g. without the need to travel or take more time away from the office. A further advantage is that speakers can be beamed in from anywhere in the world – again, a real logistical and cost advantage.
Jayne Foster and Sharon Brunt, Directors of EWE, commented: “As we approach our fourteenth ‘birthday’ as a business, the team’s delighted with this latest and significant business win. We’ve worked on several APCC/NPCC Partnership Summits since 2017, so to be entrusted once more to deliver the event feels very special to us – especially as the last Summit was delayed due to the pandemic. The last Summit took place in hybrid format for the first time, which worked so well for the event that the organisers have again chosen this option.” Sharon added: “Whilst the hybrid option has been an incredibly useful development for events’ delivery, and offers a definite advantage for some clients and events, it needs to be balanced against the advantages of the traditional in-person format. For in-person events, delegates need to be in the actual room – together – along with sponsors and exhibitors, to maximise the benefits to all these participants. Plus, hybrid events require specialist platforms, which does add an extra cost – something to bear in mind when finalising budgets.”
Experts at Working With Associations
At EWE we have a diverse range of clients; however, over the years it’s fair to say we’ve developed a specialism of working with various membership associations, including: the British Safety Council; Mathematical Association; the Magistrates Association; and The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
Not only do we have experience client-side, but we’ve also worked in-house for various associations, which means we have the specialist knowledge to understand the very specific challenges that associations encounter, such as: managing members’ expectations; working within budgetary constraints to maximise all possible opportunities; ensuring all messaging and communications are relevant to the Association’s brand and audience.
If you deliver events for your members and even non-members, we can help you create a best-in-class experience – whether live, virtual or hybrid. Starting with venue finding (a free service we provide) we can remove all the time and stress it takes you to search for the perfect venue; arrange accommodation; and ensure you benefit from the most favourable terms and conditions. We can also: provide a full event management service where required; assist with revenue generation; manage ticket sales; sell sponsorship and exhibition packages. In a nutshell, we take all the stress of the process away from you, leaving you to focus on meeting your aims and targets – to deliver your best-ever event!
